Description

We are currently partnered with an outstanding structural engineering consultancy based in Central London which is now in its third year of business and has an order book keeping them busy for an extensive period of time, deep into 2025 and far beyond. They are looking to bring on board a Structural Engineer to help them continue delivering great services for their esteemed clients.

As the third member of the team, you will be coming in at a crucial stage in the life-cycle of the consultancy. Limitless and diverse opportunities will be on offer depending on your ambition including, but not limited to, a pathway to Associate Director and Director level, equity, and much more. The intent is to continue growing organically in line with sustainable growth projections.

The company was founded in 2022 by two deeply passionate and talented structural engineers who have significant experience working at some of the UK's most respected consultancies. Their portfolio of expertise ranges from contemporary private residential refurbishments and basements developments to highly technical educational facilities and sports stadia. They now draw on this wealth of technical expertise and successful project delivery for all projects undertaken internally. Their shared vision in this new venture was to create a consultancy that embraced creativity, collaboration, and sustainability in structural engineering.

In order to be considered for this position, you will have solid UK-based, design-led experience, as well as the ambition and commitment to make a positive impact across their diverse project portfolio, to the betterment of the built environment.

The workplace culture is deeply collaborative and built on the idea that every member of the team has a platform to share their input and know that it is being valued. Their multidisciplinary approach encourages collaboration with architects, clients, and other stakeholders, enabling the developing of industry knowledge from a holistic viewpoint.

Your professional development will be at the forefront, with endless CPD opportunities, access to first-class mentoring, as well as structures and passionate support on your journey to chartership, including helpful exam preparation.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Undertaking structural design and analysis
  • Preparing calculations, drawings and specifications
  • Developing structural schemes and coordinating with architectural designs
  • Representing the company when collaborating with clients and architects

Skills and qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Ideally recently chartered or near-chartered with the ICE or IStructE
  • Minimum of two years' UK-based experience
  • Excellent written, sketching and verbal communication skills

Company benefits include profit sharing, 25 days of annual leave, a 5% employer pension contribution, paid professional subscriptions, as well as an annual CPD allowance.

This is a unique opportunity that is not to be missed. If you think your experience matches up well, please click apply or reach out to Jamie Will at Calibre Search.
