An established and independent building services consultancy is looking for a talented and motivated Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join their growing team. Role
As a Mechanical Building Services Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing mechanical systems, with a focus on HVAC and public health engineering.
- Conducting surveys, system analyses, and feasibility studies to assess effectiveness and client suitability.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Performing design calculations and preparing detailed proposals and tender documentation.
- Monitoring project progress, ensuring quality standards, and delivering clear and concise reports.
Requirements
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in building services design.
- Proficiency in Cymap or Hevacomp software; experience with Revit or AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Familiarity with integrating renewable technologies such as heat pumps, thermal energy storage, and solar thermal systems.
- Knowledge of BIM standards and sustainable design principles.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
