Description

Calibre Search is partnering with a close-knit Building Consultancy team based in Stockport, seeking an Intermediate level to accomplished Building Surveyor to join their team.

You will be responsible for delivering professional services across a variety of sectors, including alterations, refurbishments, renovations, and building defect solutions.

This role will provide hands-on experience in pre-acquisition surveying, party wall services, and dilapidations, offering a solid foundation for career progression. The role will also entail various project management work (contract admin/desing spec) for a range of clientele which includes automotive, commercial and residential sectors.

This position is particularly suited to someone actively working towards their APC and aiming to achieve MRICS accreditation. The practice offers the right level of support to help you get chartered, all while avoiding the hassle of a city centre commute.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a range of professional services to clients, including pre-acquisition surveys, party wall services, and dilapidation assessments.
  • Carry out inspections and condition surveys, producing reports with attention to detail.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Manage workloads independently, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Use AutoCAD for drawings and technical plans as part of surveying services.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current legislation, including Health & Safety, CDM, and Building Regulations.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Building Surveying (or equivalent).
  • RICS Accredited or working towards APC (MRICS status).
  • Experience in a Building Surveying or Property/Construction Consultancy environment.
  • Knowledge of pre-acquisition surveys, party wall services, and dilapidation work.
