How to download and use Teams for your upcoming interview

If you haven’t got the Microsoft Teams App, here is how to get it.

Teams is easy to use and is very similar to Facetime or WhatsApp Video calls however it will be beneficial for your interview if you practice ahead of the big day. Our consultants will help you do this.

Download Teams from the App Store (Iphone) or Google Play Store (Android)

• Press Sign up for free (underneath the sign-in option)
• Press Personal
• Put in your email address
• Enter a password that has at least 8 characters and has at least one of the following;
  • UPPER CASE LETTER
  • lower case letter
  • number
  • symbol (&%$&! etc)
• Input your name
• Enter country and date of birth
• Enter the code that they send to your phone and press next
• Allow notifications and access to microphone when prompted
• Press continue and press OK to access your contacts

To attend the interview once you have downloaded Teams there are 3 ways to join the meeting

 1) Via email on your phone

• Press the blue weblink a minute or two before the meeting is due to start and someone will ‘let you in the meeting’
• When your screen starts showing your face then the meeting has started
• Press the camera button and microphone button in the bottom left so they can hear and see you
• Enjoy the meeting and good luck!

2) You get a notification and get asked to join

• Press Join
• When your screen starts showing your face then the meeting has started
• Press the camera button and microphone button in the bottom left so they can hear and see you

3) Go directly into the Teams App and find the appointment

• From the main screen in the app, press More (bottom right)
• Choose Calendar and press Join
• Press the camera button and microphone button in the bottom left so they can hear and see you!
• Enjoy the meeting and good luck
