The Opportunity


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Facilities Manager (RFM) to join one of the UK's leading Facilities Management companies, overseeing operations in the West Yorkshire region. This role is perfect for an experienced professional with a strong technical background in facilities management who thrives on managing teams, building client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence.



Key Responsibilities:


As the Regional Facilities Manager, you will lead and manage technical teams in the delivery of PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) and Reactive Maintenance Services. You will be responsible for managing supervisors, technicians, and client relationships, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Safety: Ensure all maintenance services comply with agreed SLAs and meet statutory requirements. Follow Health & Safety policies and ensure all activities are compliant.
  • People Management: Recruit, coach, and motivate direct reports. Ensure performance is optimized, and that company policies and practices are followed.
  • Excellence: Monitor performance against key customer KPIs/SLA targets. Drive continuous improvement across all areas.
  • Service Delivery: Communicate regularly with customers regarding FM activities and ensure smooth operation of services across sites, 24/7.
  • Integrity: Manage budgets effectively and identify opportunities for business development while maintaining cost control.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial expenditure within agreed budgets, ensuring accurate cost management.
  • Manage and support your teams in their training, development, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation, compliance audits, and the efficient use of the CAFM system.
  • Cover for the Divisional Operations Manager during absences, holidays, or meetings.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: GCSE/Standard Grade or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience leading and managing a team within a Facilities Management environment, with a strong understanding of PPM and compliance.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of service and repair requirements for electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), excellent planning and organising ability, and a results-focused attitude.
  • Financial Management: Experience managing budgets and delivering cost-effective solutions.
  • Additional: Full driving license required.
