Engineering Technician
Ashton-in-Makerfield, Lancashire.
£30,000 - £35,000 + 7.5% annual bonus + benefits
One of the UK's leading temporary works specialists with 6 offices are on the lookout for an Engineering Technician with at least 1 year of experience in a similar position to join the team in Ashton-in-Makerfield, near Wigan in a permanent capacity.
The main purpose of this role is to produce drawings to effectively communicate temporary works designs produced by the engineering team. This role offers flexible home-working, including 3 days per week in the office in Ashton-in-Makerfield and 2 from home.
Key Responsibilities of an Engineering Technician:- Be proficient in the efficient use of AutoCAD and REVIT to produce high quality drawings.
- Develop an understanding of Mabey Hire's equipment and how the components fit together.
- Produce general arrangement and detail drawing to communicate the temporary works designs produced by the engineers.
- Produce accurate kit lists to allow enquiries to be quoted.
- Produce fabrication drawings for special parts when required.
- Effectively manage own workload within Launchpad to ensure deadlines are met, including maintaining accurate timesheets.
- Undertake basic calculations to support the production of drawings.
- Take responsibility for driving own leaning and development. Set individual goals utilising the Always Aiming Higher (AAH) framework and work towards them.
