We are currently partnered with an independent private, professional partnership founded in 1860 with a global reputation for excellence. They are looking to add a Head of Facade Engineering to their London headquarters.
This company has a reputation for providing consultancy, testing and inspecting services on construction industry materials, practices and processes throughout the world.
National and international clients include government and public authorities, consulting engineers, architects, surveyors, civil engineering and building contractors, property developers and managers, lawyers and manufacturers and suppliers of building materials.
In this role, you will lead the continuing expansion of their facade consultancy services. You will have a great deal of autonomy to drive the division forward according to your expertise and passions. 2024 was a year of countless inbound leads which is no doubt a reflection of the consultancy's goodwill and reputation for excellence. As a result, this is not a position that will require extensive business development but rather a position where you can manage, drive the team forward, and get actively involved in day-to-day facade activities both on-site, from the office and at home.
In addition to leading the consultancy's facade activities, the role will involve writing expert reports for facades disputes and both the review of new facades and the investigation of existing. The post is based in London, with the possibility of some home-based working. It will also involve occasional international travel.
The position includes working in a multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled engineers, architects, surveyors and materials technologist working in all aspects of the building envelope field.
