Industrial Refrigeration Engineer
Salary: £35,000-£48,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Location: Glasgow
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Type: Full-Time/Permanent

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading provider in the refrigeration and HVAC industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid technical background in servicing and maintaining refrigeration and air conditioning systems, coupled with a customer-focused approach.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical issues, performing maintenance and repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct maintenance, repairs, and commissioning of refrigeration, air conditioning, and process plant systems.
- Perform on-site equipment installations and ensure systems meet performance standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
- Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and identifying new opportunities.
- Provide detailed technical reports on work performed and recommendations for system optimization.
- Supervise and train apprentices, supporting their professional development.
- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety standards and contribute to safety improvements.
Candidate Profile
Experience:- Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with ammonia and CO? systems is highly desirable.
- Strong practical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical aspects of refrigeration systems.
Qualifications:- NVQ Level 2/3 in a relevant discipline preferred.
- Health & Safety awareness, including safe handling of refrigerants such as ammonia and hydrocarbons.
Skills:- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work flexibly, including overtime and call-out duties as required.
