Senior Civil Engineer
Salary up to £55k DOE
My client are a privately owned Consultancy in Newcastle who specialise in Civil and Structural Engineering. They have a proud reputation for consistently delivering high quality engineering services at a reasonable cost to their growing list of clients and are looking to expand their team yet again with a Senior level Civil Engineer.
The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of projects, leading day to day technical delivery of civil engineering consultancy services from feasibility through to planning, detailed design and construction.
You will have expertise in drainage and highway design, SuDS, Flood Risk Assessments, and earthworks and will be supported by a team of experienced technical staff of various grades with whom you will collaborate to ensure projects are delivered on programme and within budget to the quality expected by their clients.
Working on a range of projects including Housing, Commercial, Residential and Extra Care developments and using design-based software for innovative infrastructure solutions, you will work on both public and private sector projects and work to relevant UK design standards.
Possessing a BEng, Meng, MSc, HND or HNC in Civil Engineering together with a minimum 4 years post qualification experience working within a UK Engineering Consultancy environment, you will be able to produce drainage and highway drawings, design calculations, technical reports and site appraisals. You will have a knowledge of UK planning procedures and relevant design codes such as Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Manual for Streets, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Local Authority Design Guidance and preparation of technical approvals.
It is also expected for you to have a working understanding of technical software including AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/Flow, Causeway Live/PDS/Civil 3D and AutoTrack and have experience working with residential developers
A full UK driving licence would be advantageous as there would be site visits as and when required.
