- Description
Calibre Search are working closely with an up and coming Building Consultancy who after recently opening up an office in Manchester, are now looking to bring in their first Quantity Surveyor to join them on this new venture.
They have a very established office and team down in London where the other QS of the business is based however they now want to replicate this success up north.
The practice themselves boast an impressive client portfolio working with various private developers and housing providers delivering on a range of high profile commercial and residential projects with a particular focus on façade and remediation work.
Due to you being the first QS to join their Manchester team, ideally they are looking to bring in a QS with extensive consultancy background experience having delivered and led on projects offering both pre and post contract services.
Given you will be the first potential QS to join their Manchester office, they were happy to consider both Senior level and Associate level QS's to which of course the package will reflect your experience.
Any business development would be advantageous however they have enough work on so it's more about finding the right person with the right technical QS skills.
Requirements:- Have strong communication (both written and verbal) skills and an interpersonal style that enables you to flourish in a direct client facing role
- Be able to chair meetings and have the leadership skills needed to lead a project team, which may sometimes include managing conflict and resolving complex issues
- Have exceptional planning and organisation skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple demands
- Be able to work independently, make sensible judgments and decisions, and take responsibility for doing whatever it takes to get the job done.
- To assist in the management of the delivery of all pre & post contract services, comprising dealing with cost variances and associated change control processes, conducting valuation processes, carrying out cost checks, producing regular cost reports, negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
