Are you an experienced Senior Transport Planner looking for a new challenge, or perhaps a Principal Transport Planner eager to make your mark in a fast-growing and dynamic team? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you!

We are working with a highly respected transport planning consultancy in Central London, who are looking for a Principal Transport Planner to join their expanding team. This is an excellent chance to work on a range of exciting projects, from large-scale developments to high-profile local authority schemes, including the iconic Battersea Power Station.

About the Role:
As a Principal Transport Planner, you will take the lead in project management, working closely with senior staff and supporting the delivery of high-quality transport planning services. You will be instrumental in developing and delivering multi-modal access strategies, transport assessments, and other key planning documents for a variety of clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the day-to-day management of projects, working closely with the Project Director.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members to ensure their professional growth and the successful delivery of projects.
  • Developing concept studies and feasibility assessments for large masterplan sites.
  • Engaging in client meetings and consultations with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure projects are aligned with planning and transport requirements.
  • Contributing to business development efforts through bid preparation and fee quotes.

What We're Looking For:
To be considered for this exciting role, you should have:

  • At least 7 years' experience in transport planning.
  • Strong knowledge of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Statements.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD and Autodesk design software (AutoTrack desirable).
  • Experience in Junction Modelling (e.g., PICADY, ARCADY, LinSIG).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and your team.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work within deadlines.
