Civil Design Engineer (4+ Years' Drainage Design Experience)
£38k - £48k + 2 Annual Bonuses + Paid Overtime + Benefits

A nationwide Infrastructure Engineering Specialist consultancy are on the lookout for a Civil Design Engineer with at least 4+ years' experience working on residential housing schemes to join their newly-established Manchester office in the heart of the City's centre.
The company have 8 offices across the UK and their Head Office is in London. They are home to almost 100 staff across the country and their burgeoning Manchester office is a focus for growth over the coming years. They are an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT) and offer 2 annual bonuses to all staff which are untaxed (up to £3,500) as well as paid overtime.
This new permanent role, in our team of drainage, highways and development infrastructure specialists, will support our expanding client base of predominantly large residential developers.
The company delivers a broad range of infrastructure projects, from initial feasibility stage, through planning and detail design, to the construction stage. Typically, the projects range from around 50 units, up to several thousand dwellings.
We're looking for a Civil Design Engineer with:- Significant post-graduate (or equivalent) experience (at least 4-8 years in a consultancy environment)
- Experience in pre-planning and planning stage projects, as well as a good understanding of detail design and technical approval (S104, S38, S278, etc)
- Skilled in MicroDrainage and AutoCAD, plus an understanding of Civils 3d would be beneficial
- A sound technical ability and excellent communication skills
- A drive to develop both themselves and others.
The successful candidate will:- Provide day to day project management and help with the design of multiple schemes across a range of clients
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders, preparing fee proposals, managing projects, and undertaking business development (Senior role)
- Develop Concept and Detailed Drainage Strategies (either role)
- Develop Levels Strategies and manage the production of Earthwork Appraisals (either role)
- Produce Planning Documents such as Flood Risk Assessments/Drainage Technical Notes and Utilities Statements (either role)
- Undertake Due Diligence reviews to support the purchase of land (either role)
The salary for this role and someone with 4-8 years' experience in a similar role will be £38k - £48k plus bonuses plus paid overtime too.
