- Description
A "new to the market" modern style consultancy are now looking to bring in an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Altrincham.
Having got to know this particular practice more, we have been thoroughly impressed by their plans for the future and what they have done so far since they begun this new venture a few years back now.
They now have a small but growing team and after recently helping them with a new hire, they require an intermediate level QS to join them and assist on their upcoming projects which are landing in 2025. The team has a great mixture of both seasoned, energetic MRICS QS/PM professionals as well as aspiring surveyors which has created a well-balanced team where everyone benefits from.
They have some brilliant new build and refurb projects on the go ranging from commercial and residential up to £100 million working for various prolific developers across the region. One project even includes one of Manchester's landmark listed buildings which is going through a full facade replacement which will be the first of its kind.
Great position if you like the idea of joining a Modern style Practice certainly up an upward trajectory, who operate with a fresh and new perspective to what you would normally find within a traditional consultancy.
Requirements:- Have strong communication (both written and verbal) skills and an interpersonal style that enables you to flourish in a direct client facing role.
- BSc degree qualified (ideally in Quantity surveying) with post degree construction experience working through the APC. Ideally consultancy would be prefereed but open to other backgrounds for the right person.
- Acting as the Employers Agent when needed. Be able to chair meetings and have the leadership skills needed to lead a project team, which may sometimes include managing conflict and resolving complex issues.
- Have exceptional planning and organisation skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple demands.
- To assist in the management of the delivery of all pre & post contract services, comprising dealing with cost variances and associated change control processes, conducting valuation processes, carrying out cost checks, producing regular cost reports, negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
